IMPROVISATION, CREATIVE PROCESSES, AND MUSICAL COGNITION
A broad field of study encompassing research on musical performance, creative processes in contemporary musical practices, the development of specific skills, embodied and expanded cognition, and technology-supported improvisation.


ANALYSIS OF IMPROVISED MUSIC
An area specializing in the development, expansion, and testing of analytical methodologies specific to improvised music, utilizing technological support and involving interdisciplinary collaboration with other fields of knowledge.


BRAZILIAN IMPROVISATION
Current studies provide a framework for understanding that is now considered essential for the critical study of cultural manifestations in South America. In Brazilian music, in particular, it serves as a means to reveal the creative vectors that emerge beyond established narratives.
